Workshop 2008

This year Nordbib organized our second policymaking workshop on Open Access 'Workshop on research visibility - managing quality for better evaluation'. The workshop took place on 27 and 28 October 2008 at hotel Marienlyst in Elsinore, Denmark.

The aim of the workshop was to create and active debate concerning the theme research registration, research evaluation and Open Access to research results.

Prior to the workshop the survey Nordic Institutional Repositories and Current Research Information Systems was being made in order to investigate how Nordic HE-institutions present their research output. The survey is addressed to the Library Directors. Results were presented as a state-of-the-art report at the Workshop. The purpose of the report is to offer a background for creating a joint Nordic approach to further developments in Open Access.

  • The ministries
  • Research directors from the universities
  • Funding agencies - public as well as private
