APE 2008

Conference on 'Quality and Publishing' 22-23 January 2008 in Berlin

Academic Publishing in Europe (APE) invites to their 3rd conference. In 2008 the conference will be dedicated to the latest developments in the context of the internet, electronic publishing, digital libraries and archives, enabling technologies and search engines.

APE informs that:

"there are many separate discussions going on about what publishing is, or should be, and the future role of information in science and society. APE 2008 does not provide all answers, but supports awareness and a better understanding of publishing by presentations and discussions between all stakeholders."

The conference is organised with the support of the EU Research Directorate-General and sponsored by national and international associations like: Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP), German Association of Publishers and Booksellers, The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) and International Association of Scientific, Technical and Medical Publishers (STM) as well as by a number of academic publishers.

You can read the programme and sign up for participation at www.ape2008.eu.
